Q. Do I need a permit to burn brush?

A.     Yes, unless there is sufficient snow cover. Out door burning policy.  

 

 

Q. Where do I obtain a permit to burn brush?

A. At the fire station, Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on weekends or Holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

 

Q. I have an burglar and fire alarm in my residence Do I need a permit?

A.       Yes, all monitored alarms require a permit. Alarm Regulations.

 

Q. Where do I obtain an alarm permit?

A.      At the fire station or police station or on-line. Alarm Permit Application.

 

Q. How do I become a Milford Firefighter?

A. First you must be 19 years old and hold a valid NH’s drives license and have a High School   Diploma or Equivalent. Fill out an application and summit it to the Fire Chief.   The hiring process involves a physical ability exam, oral board interviews, and a chiefs interview.  Successful  candidates are then required to pass motor vehicle and criminal record checks as well as a medical exam by the departments occupational health care provider.
