The Fire Prevention and Code Enforcement Bureau are responsible for the administration and enforcement of the State Fire Code and State Building Code, Building Inspections, Fire Investigations, Public Education and Plan Review.

We perform the following Inspections:

• Life Safety

• Sprinkler System

• Fire Alarm System

• Day Care   

• Foster Care

• Place of Assembly

• Wood Stove

• Furnace

• Water Heater

• Gas Piping 

• Underground Tank 

• Home Inspections

All Inspections can be scheduled by calling 673-3136 between 8:00 and 4:30 Monday thru Friday.

Inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

We also support the following Educational programs within the Milford School System and Community

•     Risk Watch- A comprehensive injury prevention program.

•     Learn Not to Burn

•     Remembering When– A fire and fall prevention program for older adults.

•     Fire Extinguisher Training

We also are a member of the Greater Nashua Youth Fire Intervention Program
